Jong Kook Baik

Jong Kook Baik originates from South Korea, currently residing in England. He is a multi-award winning international lecturer specializing in microacupuncture systems, particularly Korean Hand Therapy (KHT).

Jong studied KHT in the early 90s in South Korea, where he received a diploma in this field. He then studied for four years at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York, UK, where he earned a diploma in acupuncture. He completed his master's degree in acupuncture at the University of Wales, and his doctorate in traditional Chinese medicine (Huangdi Neijing) at the University of Wales in Lampeter. He completed his PhD under the supervision of the renowned Professor Bao Zhao Ju at the Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shenyang, China.

In 2016, he was awarded the title of Doctor of Acupuncture by the World Federation of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Societies (WFAS), Beijing, China. Subsequently, in 2018, he received the title of Clinical Specialist in Acupuncture from the Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Jong worked for 14 years as part of a palliative care team in a hospice in Darlington, and he is currently a visiting professor at the Southern California University School of Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture. He has authored several books on traditional East Asian medicine and collaborated with many magazines.

Since 2005, Jong established his own academy, Jong Baik Education, based in Darlington, UK. He also divides his time between running a thriving clinic in Darlington and delivering lectures in many fields around the world.
